I'll be making my sophomore appearance at the famed thriller and mystery conference, this time across the border in the civilized city of Calgary. I’m slated to teach a quick comedy writing workshop on Friday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. and I’m also scheduled to be on the “White Collar Crimes” panel on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 10:15 a.m. Register to attend HERE.

At the 41st Annual Printers Row Lit Fest, I participated on a wonderful panel with Courtney Maum and Ben Tanzer. I talked about how I “opted out” of capitalism’s worst impulses, how I find meaning in an increasingly absurd world, and how I drown out the noise and create cool shit. I was definitely on one.

To commemorate the one-year anniversary of my kickass Wall Street satire, Leverage, Restoried bookshop generously hosted a book party.

To celebrate the publication of the delightful Kathleen Rooney's brilliant new novel, Man Overboard!, we had a hugely entertaining conversation at the legendary independent bookstore The Book Cellar.

After visiting the fantastic Asian literature-focused indie, Restoried Bookshop, the amazing owner Justin Valas invited me to host a Leverage author event. We had a blast.

I made my first appearance at the prestigious thriller and mystery conference, hosted annually in New York City. I also participated in the Masterclass 2.0 Program and the fan favorite Debut Authors Breakfast Event. Many signed copies of Leverage were sold!

As part of a fundraising program for my kids' school, and in conjunction with the wonderful Three Avenues Bookshop, I coordinated an exclusive author event and book buying party for parents in my neighborhood.

I attended this excellent literary conference in my backyard of Chicago and participated on the First Books panel.

I made my first ever appearance at the legendary mystery, suspense, and thriller writing convention Bouchercon, which took place in the great and sweaty city of New Orleans.

The Book Cellar, a wonderful independent bookstore in Chicago's Lincoln Square neighborhood, graciously hosted my Leverage launch party on Tuesday, August 19. We had a blast.

In the wake of signing my deal for Leverage, I went back-to-back at the Chicago Writers Association conference. Excellent craft lessons and great networkign ensued.
